Uisce Eireann Hopes To Lift Overnight Water Restrictions In Tipp Town This Week

Uisce Eireann says it hopes to be able to lift night time water restrictions in Tipperary town in the coming days.

The company says it has now identified a number of leaks and that work has now started on repairing the leaks – once these are completed the company will assess the situation again.

The Night Time restrictions began on May 17th in an effort to allow reservoirs to replenish overnight to ensure daytime supplies are not disrupted. In the meantime, water supplies will be reduced between 10pm and 6am in Tipperary town.

Uisce Éireann’s Colin Cunningham says “customers can continue to help conserve water by not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and postponing using dishwashers and washing machines where possible during the period of the restrictions.”

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact the company on X @IWCare with any queries.
