Tipp Hurling Teams Has Mixed Fortune Over The Weekend

Tipperary Hurling teams had mixed fortune over the weekend.

The U20’s defeated Cork in the Munster final on Friday night and now take on Offaly in the All Ireland final set for Kilkenny on Saturday evening.

The Tipperary team led by Golden player Ben Currivan had a triumphant homecoming to the Golden GAA Centre late on Friday night.

The senior team lost to Clare in their final Munster Senior Hurling Championship game in Thurles yesterday.

The final score was Clare 1-24 to 24 – Tipperary had three losses and one draw in their 4 matches.

Clare will now take on Limerick in the Munster final on June 9th while Cork progress to the preliminary all Ireland Quarter Final.

Tipp manager Liam Cahill was adamant after the game that he will see out the third year of his contract and may take up a further one-year option stating that he has the full backing of the County Board and the team.
