A planning application is to be submitted by SuperValu, Tipperary town for modifications to the existing store at Kickham Plaza/Link road. Permission is being sought to create space for a café/restaurant, a new retail unit and the relocation of public toilets The application also includes a request for permission to have a window installed in the current building and signage added to the exterior.
While no decision has been revealed by An Post there has been speculation that the application may be linked to a possible relocation of postal services from the Post Office on Grattan Street to the SuperValu store in early 2025. An Post sought applications for a private contractor to take over the Retail Post Services in Tipperary town earlier this year.
