Tipperary County Council is offering a public consultation on two Local Area Plans for towns in the county following on from the adoption of a County Development plan last year.
Tipperary and Carrick on Suir will now devise a local area plan which will set out the land use strategy for each town to ensure the town can grow, support employment and homes and can do so sustainably and successfully.
The council has issued a briefing document for each town and these documents can be view online at this link here or at the relevant Municipal District Office in Tipperary town or Carrick on Suir and also in the Civic offices in Nenagh and Clonmel.
The documents are also on available in the library in each town until June 4th.
A drop-in public information session will also be held at Tipperary Town Library in the Excel Centre from 3-7pm on Tuesday, 14 May 2024.
A similar information session is planned for Carrrick on Suir on May 15th also from 3 to 7pm.
Submissions which can be made free of charge must be made by June 4th, will be used to create a draft plan to be published in the Autumn and following further review the Local Area Plan will be formally adopted in 2025 to run until 2031.
