Planning Application Submitted For The Former Bank Of Ireland Building In Cashel

The former Bank of Ireland building in Cashel may have a new lease of life as a café and guesthouse.  The bank branch closed in 2021. K Design in Kilkenny has submitted a planning application to Tipperary County Council for a change of use for the building with the guesthouse portion planned for the rear ground floor and all upper levels. A new terrace is planned at the front of the building which is a protected structure.  A new pedestrian entrance to the Buckley car park to the rear is also proposed for the town centre development.

The application is on behalf of Wolram Ltd.  The company making the application has been in existence since 2017 with a registered office in Clonoulty.The public can make submissions on the planning application until May 15th and Tipperary Planning Authority expects to deliver a decision by June 5th .  The planning reference number is 2460270.
