Gardaí from Killaloe have seized a vehicle after receiving complaints about how it was being driven. The incident happened on Sunday as the vehicle was travelling between Ballina and Birdhill. Gardaí established that the driver was uninsured and proceeded to seize the vehicle. The driver will now face a future court date. Gardaí are now able to use a hand held device called the Mobility App at roadside to quickly establish details such as insurance and NCT status and also details of drivers licence records.
