The community in Carrick on Suir is rallying to support the family of the woman who lost her life in the road traffic collision in Kilsheelan on Friday March 29th. Claire Kavanagh, aged 33 died in the crash and her husband, Anthony Phelan, was seriously injured. The family have a young son Arlo and her death came just two weeks before the couple’s first wedding anniversary. Ms Kavanagh was 13 weeks pregnant at the time of her death. A Go Fund Me appeal has now been launched to help the family as Mr Phelan recovers from his injuries. The fund is named “In Memory of Clare” and over €22,000 has been donated to date.
