2024 Rás Taileann Route To Includes Parts Of Co. Tipp

Three stages of the 2024 Rás Tailteann 2024 cycling race are to include parts of county Tipperary during May. The race will take place from Wednesday, May 22nd to Sunday, May 26th.

This year, the event will begin in Tullamore, with the first stage ending in Kilmallock, county Limerick- this stage will pass through Nenagh, Birdhill and Newport  The 2nd stage is from Kanturk to Sneem, county Kerry.  The 3rd stage starts in Kenmare and ends in Cahir on May 24th. This is the first time a stage has finished in Tipperary since 1967.  The 4th stage will leave the Horse and Jockey on Saturday May 25th  and arrive in Kildare with the final stage beginning in Maynooth and ending at Bective, County Meath on Sunday May 26th.  The race will conclude with  three laps of a 14.1km spectator-friendly finishing circuit.

Race Director Ger Campbell is extending thanks to the stage start and stage finish towns along with all the stage coordinators for their extremely helpful input and dedication to the 2024 route. Entries for the race are open in the coming weeks with teams from home and abroad expected to take part. This is the 69th edition of the race.
