Our newest Bank Holiday weekend will see over 21 thousand people travel through Shannon airport.
It’s the second year that St Bridget’s Day is an official bank holiday after its introduction last year.
The regional airport says it’s expecting a 12 per cent increase this coming weekend.
The most popular destinations include Faro, Lanzarote, Malaga, Tenerife and Alicante, along with areas nearer to the island such as London and Liverpool.
