Three businesses in Tipperary town are being congratulated for their Christmas Window Displays. The job of selecting the prize winners went to Tipperary Tidy Towns Group.

The first prize is awarded to Nellie O’Brien’s pub on Main street for a Christmas Display that encapsulated the entire 3 storey building. 2nd prize goes to McMahon’s Shoe Emporium, also on Main street, while third prize is awarded to The Tipperary Curtain Shop on St Michael’s street.  The judges say it was difficult to make the decision and also note some wonderful artwork particularly in the windows of some pubs in Tipperary town.

The friendly competition is organised by the Tipperary town Marketing and Promotions Group to help support the Christmas trade in the town. The Group is encouraging the public to visit the town and to continue to shop locally.

The group consists of Ann Whelan(Joe Whelan’s Shop), Anne Hadnett (Patty’s Flowers), Sharon O’Dwyer (Tipperary Music Festival) and Siobhan Hyland Ryan (Danny Ryan’s Music Shop). The prizes will be presented after Christmas.

The Tipperary town Marketing and Promotion Group is acknowledging Tipperary Tidy Towns Group for undertaking the judging and also wishes to thank the Tidy Towns Group for all their work throughout 2023.
