Garda in Tipperary Town are seeking help with two recent incidents of theft. A power washer was stolen from a shed on St Patrick’s Avenue. Garda believe the robbery occurred between 4pm on Tuesday November 21st and Wednesday morning. The item was stolen from the local primary school grounds.
Home heating oil was stolen from a house on St Michael’s street on Monday November 27th sometime between 9.30pm and 11pm.
Garda are appealing for anyone with any information or that may have witnessed any suspicious activity to contact Tipperary town Garda station on 062 80670.An Garda Síochána says its targeted ‘Operation Thor’ has commenced and will run until the end of March 2024. This ongoing enforcement operation is aimed at preventing burglars from exploiting the reduced hours of daylight.
Garda advise home owners to leave some lights on when the property may be vacant, to use timer switches/motion detectors, to lock all doors and windows, if possible use a house alarm, store keys away from windows and to avoid keep large amounts of cash or jewellery in the house
