Tipperary County Council is advising that anyone interested in the proposed redesign of Cahir Public Realm is asked to review the 3 concepts on display at present. This initiative for Cahir Town Centre encompasses The Square, Castle Street and part of Old Church Street.  The council advise that the public realm enhancements are intended to transform Cahir Town Centre by providing socio-economic, cultural and environmental benefits for residents, businesses and visitors.

The council is now seeking public input as to how the proposals could be developed – three options have been presented on the council website and following this consultation the project consultants Nick De Jong, urban Designers, are expected to produce a proposal and complete the formal Part 8 planning process by December of this year.

An online option is available to view on the council website and the options are also on display in Cahir Library with a paper form to submit comments.

Tipperary Council advise that this pre planning consultation will close on Friday 27th of August and encourages anyone interested in the development of Cahir Public Realm to give their input.
