Road Safety Authority Reminding Drivers Of The Risk Of Incorrectly Fitted Car Seats

582

The Road Safety Authority(RSA) is reminding drivers of the risks to children if car seats are not fitted correctly. According to research carried out by the Road Safety Authority, as many as 4 out of 5 child car seats are incorrectly fitted which can result in serious injury or a fatality in the event of a collision.

Drivers have an opportunity to have their child’s car seat checked to day in Cashel at the Check it Fits roadshow. The free service is available all day on a drop in basis at Cashel Tesco car park between 10am and 5.30pm.

The RSA also offers the service virtually. Drivers can request an online appointment with an RSA child car seat expert. Once the appointment request has been submitted, the RSA will be in contact to schedule a suitable date and time.
