Uisce Eireann customers in Tipperary town should see a significant improvement in the consistency of supply from today.  The company says that the pressure reduction works at night have now been suspended as the leakage reduction investigation works carried out by Uisce Eireann have been successful.

Residents have had lower pressure at night for a number of weeks causing outages for several parts of the town overnight and in the early morning. The company is extending thanks to customers for their patience.

Since 2018, Uisce Éireann has invested more than €500 million to upgrade the underground water network across the country through the delivery of the national Leakage Reduction Programme. Investment of a further €250 million every year up to the end of 2030 is planned to  fix leaks and replace pipes to provide a more reliable water supply.
