Local Principal To Lead IPPN For Next Two Years

The Principal of St Joseph’s Primary School in Tipperary town is to led the Irish Primary Principals Network over the next 24 months.

Ms Louise Tobin has been vice-president since 2021 as she worked in her school.

The network has over 6,400 members made up of principals and deputy principals across Ireland’s primary schools.

Ms Tobin is a highly experienced leader having served as principal of St Joseph’s since 2009, prior to that she worked for 20 years at Grange National School, Clonmel and spent two years with the Department of Education Primary Supports Service.

Ms Tobin’s priority is to improve the linkage between individual principals and deputy principals and their representative body to support the school leaders perform a challenging role in a constantly changing environment.
