The Office of Public Works has submitted a planning application for a new Road Safety Authority Driving Test centre to be located at the existing Government Offices building on Martin Breen Terrace in Tipperary Town.

The application seeks permission for the relocation of the existing vehicular and pedestrian entrances and a new associated car park. In addition, a new external entrance with ramps and steps is proposed from the Davis Street entrance to the Government building.

The Government Offices Building was first opened in 2001 and currently houses staff from the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Social Protection.

At present the RSA Driving test start location in Tipperary town is at Canon Hayes Recreation Centre car park.
