Further damage is reported in the River Arra walkway in Tipperary Town.  A portion of the timber fence has been damaged by fire at a point overlooking the river near the Railway underpass. Earlier this week there were reports of a syringe(suspected drug use) being left on the pathway in the new amenity.

The facility opened in late December 2022 and has been targeted for vandalism to date with life rings being removed and information boards being damaged.  The new Walkway is to be the venue later this Summer for a River Festival event organised by Tipperary Tidy Towns Group. The River Arra Walkway is under the control of Tipperary County Council.
