Local Sinn Fein representitives say those who illegally dump show their total disregard for their surroundings.
It follows news of domestic waste being discarded at a historically important site near Carraigmoclear Hill, in Grangemockler/Mullinahone, over the weekend which is connected with the Irish Rebellion of 1798.
Deputy Martin Browne is urging anyone who witnessed this being carried out to contact the council immediately adding we must stamp this type of practice out as soon as it appears.
The Cashel based TD believes illegal dumping has increased since the privatisation of the service and wants collection of waste to be more accessible through the remit of local authorities.
