Local Success At National Irish Restaurant Awards

Two All-Ireland Titles are coming to Tipperary after the finals of the Irish Restaurants Awards in Dublin Last night.

Five Tipperary food operators were in contention at the prestigious awards events.

The Bishop’s Buttery at the Cashel Palace Hotel in Cashel emerged as the Munster and All Ireland Winner in the Best Hotel and Guesthouse Restaurant category.

Con Traas, the Apple Farm in Cahir, was chosen as the Munster and All Ireland Local Food Hero winner in recognition of his work on the Apple Farm, supporting other food producers and his involvement with the Tipperary Food Producers group.

Three other county Tipperary qualifiers, Prime 74 Tipperary Town, O’Neills Thomastown and The Junction Gastro Bar and Guesthouse did not enjoy Provincial or National honours on the night.
