Tipperary Singer Wins Hot Country Music Award

Tipperary country artist Molly O’Connell has been awarded the Rising Country Music Artist of the Year at this year’s Hot Country Music Awards.  The performer has had a really successful 2023 making it all the way to the Final of the TG4  Glór Tire Competition earlier this year.

The Kilcommon native thanked all at Hot Country TV for the award and remembered her late father, her mother and extended family. The  singer is the youngest of five children born to Breda Ryan, of Killuragh, Cappamore and the late Denis O’Connell, Kilcommon.

The rising star is busy with a range of concert and festival dates this year including an appearance at the 10th Cut Loose Music Festival in Holycross in July.  The awards ceremony was held at the Hillgrove Hotel In  Monaghan.
