Mary Immaculate College Thurles Mourning The Loss Of First Year Student

Mary Immaculate College in Thurles is mourning the death of a first year student. Adam Kirwan from county Laois died in a car collision early yesterday morning. Mr Kirwan was a first year BA Education, Gaeilge & Religious Studies student in MIC Thurles.  The college says Adam, was a valued member of the MIC community, a member of the hurling team and will be deeply missed. Mr Kirwan died when the car he was travelling in crashed in the College Green area of Thurles – two other female occupants were not injured in the incident.  A book of condolence has been opened in MIC Thurles’ and MIC Limerick’s main receptions. The college offers it’s condolences to Adam’s  family, friends, classmates and lecturers at this very sad time. 

Mr Kirwan is survived by his parents and sister.
