Daffodil Day 2023 organisers held a hugely successful launch in Tipperary town this morning.

The event will take place nationally on Friday March 24th and is the main fundraising activity for the Irish Cancer Society.

Today’s launch included a coffee morning and raffle.

The prizes included a number of items from the Irish Cancer Society range of merchandise and also a throw donated by John Hanly and Company.

The Irish Cancer Society says the company have donated a number of items and is very grateful for the support given by the Tipperary business based in Ballyartella, just north of Nenagh.

The organisers will gratefully accept any donation of daffodils on Thursday March 23rd at the Community Services Centre, St Michael’s Street, Tipperary Town between 2pm and 4pm.

The flowers will be bunched by volunteers for sale on Friday March 24th.

In Tipperary Town the volunteers will be stationed at locations on the Main Street and also at Supervalu, Tesco and Dunnes Stores.

The public can make a donation towards fresh daffodils or merchandise on the day.
