Training for Swimming Pool Lifeguards is to be delivered at the Sean Treacy Swimming Pool in Tipperary Town. The course is devised by Water Safety Ireland and involves both a practical and online element. The course will take place over 6 Sundays beginning on April 2nd. The practical aspect which includes Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training will take place between 8am and 11am. Online training will be delivered via zoom between 2pm and 5pm. Intending applicants must satisfy the following prerequisites –
All candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the time of the course
Be able to swim 100 metres on front and 100 metres on back
Swim 50 metres in 60 seconds
Be able to Surface dive to a depth of at least 1.5metres
