Flags Remain At Half Mast Today In Memory Of Creeslough Victims

Flags remain at half-mast across Ireland today in memory of the ten victims of the  Creeslough tragedy.

The flags will remain in this position until the final 3 funerals are held in Creeslough.

Today the funeral for Hugh Kelly, aged 59 will be held.  He was one of the ten people that died in the explosion at the Applegreen service station in the village last Friday.

Tomorrow the final two funerals will be held for Robert Garwe and his five year old daughter Shauna Flanagan Garwe.

Their Funeral Mass will also be held in St Michael’s Church, Creeslough at 11am tomorrow followed by a private Cremation.

A special meeting of Donegal County Council will be held next Tuesday to acknowledge the Creeslough tragedy.

Tipperary county council has opened an online Book of Condolence and there is also a Book of Condolence in each Council office for the public to sign.

The Council office is open Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm.
