Planning permission has been granted for a new facility to deal with end of life vehicles.
The facility will be located on the Brittas road near Thurles.
Included in the development is a garage building for the repair of crashed/damaged vehicles and for the appropriate treatment and recycling or reclamation of metals and metal compounds.
Permission was also granted for the storage of end of life vehicles awaiting depollution within a new proposed building and for the storage of de-polluted cars awaiting collection in an exterior yard.
The site will be subject to a waste facility Permit.
Tipperary planning authority also granted permission for the installation of an interceptor to enable discharge from the facility to the main drainage system.
