Disqualified Driver Imprisoned At Cashel District Court

Garda have provided an update on the case of a driver that faced court proceedings in Cashel District Court after being found driving while disqualified last month.

The court sentenced the defendant to 4 months in prison and disqualified the driver for a further 6 years.

Garda are making use of the mobility app to verify driver and vehicle status immediately roadside.

In this case the vehicle was also impounded.

Separately Garda in the Tipperary Roads Policing Unit intercepted a vehicle yesterday after it turned from a checkpoint earlier in Killenaule. Garda established that the driver had no insurance or motor tax. There was no NCT for the vehicle. The car was impounded and the driver will now face court proceedings.
