Co. Tipp Commuters Are Advised To Expect Delays In Carrick

Details of the management of road works planned for Carrick on Suir have been published by Tipperary County Council.  Glas Civil Engineering has published contact details for their representative in an effort to ensure minimum disruption caused by the extensive works. The works will take 18 months to complete and will commence on Monday August 22nd.  The rehabilitation works will involve the removal of between 100mm and 250mm depth of road surfacing and it’s replacement with new surfacing material. The safety improvement works will involve the realignment of kerbing at a number of locations, reducing the carriageway width in locations, footpath repair and replacement, upgrading and landscape planting. At O’Mahoney Avenue a full road reconstruction will be required along with the laying of new drainage pipelines.The works will progress in sections of approximately 500m in length, commencing with footpath and kerbing works followed by roadway rehabilitation.
