Four buildings in County Tipperary will share a total of €210,301 in funding under the 2022 Community Monuments Fund for local monuments and historic sites
Loughloher Castle and Tower House near Cahir almost €15,000, Kilnarath Church, Newross near Birdhill will receive €78,000, Coolquill Castle, Killenaule €49,000 and Boolabaun Castle Roscrea €68,000.
Nationally €4.2 million in funding has been allocated this year for 128 projects with an overall investment of €6 million.
The core objective of the Community Monuments Fund is to support the conservation, maintenance, protection and promotion of local monuments and historic sites.
