1196

An Bord Pleanála (ABP) has rejected an appeal made by Alice Flynn, on behalf of the Board of Management of Cappawhite National School, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary, and others, against the decision made on 31st July 2020 by Tipperary County Council, to grant permission to Eircom Ltd. for the construction of a 15-metre high, free-standing communications, and associated infrastructure, to form a telecommunications and broadband network at Eircom Exchange, Cappagh, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary.

The ruling by ABP says that it considered that, subject to compliance with seven attached conditions, the development proposed would not seriously injure the amenities of the area, and would be in accordance with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area.

The additional conditions include a requirement that a hedgerow be reinstated after construction is complete, and that no advertising materials be added to the structure.
