Local Authority January Report Shows Positive Business Development In Co. Tipp

Tipperary county council has some positive business development news in it’s January Report.

A tender process for the design and planning of a 10000 sq M advance building at the Ballingarrane Business, Science and Technology Campus in Clonmel is complete. 

The additional budget for construction required is currently under negotiation with the IDA, the 50:50 partners on the project. 

A Feasibility study on phase 2 in the Questum facility also in Clonmel is underway to assess and develop a business case of a cluster development of buildings  that would service both the life science and food/biotech sectors.

The feasibility study is due to be complete by August this year.

At the National Bioeconomy Campus in Lisheen there are two projects at pre-planning stage with one planning application through since July 2021 and the solar farm application from Soleirtricity expected for decision on January 26th.

in Cashel the council reveals that an FDI Company involved in computer system validation in the life science sector, has signed a lease on a building in Cashel with the potential for 15 to 20 jobs in IT/Software over the next 5 years.
