Upgrade works at the water treatment plant in Carrick-On-Suir are expected to be complete later this week or early next week.
Irish Water is reminding customers supplied by the Carrick on Suir (Liguan) Public Water Supply that the Boil Water Notice remains in place.
Colin Cunningham from Irish Water says once we receive satisfactory water quality results, the utility company will consult with the HSE and lift the boil water notice.
Vulnerable customers who have concerns can contact the Irish Water customer care team on 1800 278 278.
The issue arose following high levels of discolouration or turbidity in the raw water supply following a period of heavy rainfall.
