Approval has been granted by the Department of Education for a new state-of-the-art post-primary school for Coláiste Phobal Roscrea.
The new facility will have capacity for 800 students, the school will be built on the existing site and will also include 4 SEN classrooms. The news has been welcomed by Tipperary TDs.
Colaiste Phobal is the only Post-Primary school in the town of Roscrea since the merger of the Sacred Heart Convent, the Christian Brothers School and Roscrea Vocational School in 1999. It is located on the original Vocational School site on Corville Road and caters for the education needs of Roscrea and environs which includes parts of North Tipperary, Offaly and Laois.
The College provides a comprehensive range of programmes and subject choices at Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate as well as catering for Transition Year and Post-Leaving Certificate Courses.
