Tipperary County Council have published details of proposed traffic calming measures on O’Brien Street Junction and O’Connell Road in Tipperary Town.
The proposed works will consist of the following:
Junction Layout works, a new section of footpath on the corner of O’Connell Road and the R515 (O’Brien Street), build-outs to calm traffic, renewed road markings and renewed road signage.

The plans may be inspected by appointment only during normal office hours from Monday 8 February, 2021 to Monday 15 March, 2021 inclusive.
Submissions regarding the proposal can be submitted on or before
4:30 p.m. on Monday 15 March 2021.
There has been widespread praise for the collaboration efforts between the council with members of the local community to develop a solution for the junction that maximizes the improvement to the public realm while also making the area safer for all road users including pedestrians.
