There is upset today at the damage that has been done to the Christ the King statue in Aherlow, in what may have been an act of vandalism.
According to the Aherlow Fáilte, it was noticed yesterday that the structure surrounding the statue had been damaged, with damage to part of the capping, while one of the letters was also knocked out of place.
The public is being asked to pass on any information that they may have to their nearest Garda station.
