A man and young boy killed in collision on N24 Tipperary to Limerick.

Gardai have confirmed that the man and child who were killed in a collision in Pallasgreen this morning had left a house in Oola where an incident occurred during which a female received a number of injuries.

The collision between a truck and a car occurred at approximately 8.30 am, less than 2 km from Brooks Bridge, on the Tipperary side of Pallasgreen. A man and a young boy were killed in the collision.  The driver of the truck was uninjured.

Gardai say that at 8.35 am this morning they received a report of an incident at a house in Oola.  A female had received a number of injuries and was taken by ambulance to Limerick University hospital.  Her injuries are believed to be a broken arm and a number of cuts that are not said to be life-threatening.

Gardai have also said that an adult male and child had left the house and were involved in the collision on the Limerick to Tipperary road.
A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed and a post-mortem is expected to take place at Limerick University Hospital tomorrow.
