Nearly €16 million has been allocated to Tipperary County Council for road improvement and maintenance works.
The funding, which represents Co Tipperary’s portion of €298 million being distributed nationally, amounts to a total of €15,913,780 locally.
The projects concerned include the Clonmel to Cashel road at Darling Hill; the Latteragh upgrade and bridges in Dolla, Ardfinnan, Coolmoyne, Magoury Bridge in Drangan and Gurteenabarna Bridge in Borrisoleigh.
The funding has been welcomed by Tipperary TDs Alan Kelly, Noel Coonan and Tom Hayes.
