Following one of the busiest years ever a Tipperary based mountain rescue team is advising people to be careful if heading out hillwalking over Christmas.
Spokesman Jimmy Barry is encouraging people to check the weather forecast before heading out and ideally to go with people who have experience and know the locality.
He is also advising people to bring an extra layer of clothing and some food.
