As Co Tipperary’s Alan Kelly begins to settle into his new role as Environment Minister he is already being called upon to revisit legislation regarding the creation of Irish Water.

Issuing the demand is fellow Tipperary TD Mattie McGrath who wants Mr Kelly to ensure the successful completion of the Burncourt/Fethard supply scheme as well as pledging to address the problem of broken sewers or water pipes that some residents in Clonmel are experiencing.

Deputy McGrath also wants Minister Kelly to guarantee more fair and balanced legislation around the area of water charges and to review the Local Government Reform Act.
