The fourth Garth Books concert sold out this morning prompting the addition of a fifth date to be added at Croke Park. Thousands of people once again queued at Ticketmaster venues around the country as well as a huge number of hopefuls patiently waiting on the Ticketmaster website. The fourth date sold out in 29 minutes.
Demand was so high that promoters decided to add a fifth concert date for July 29th, and it is expected that these will sell out before the afternoon.
The fifth additional date signifies a new record in the concert scene in Ireland and hails Garth Brooks as the most popular entertainer, in terms of ticket sales, ever. Aiken promotions, in its 51 years in business, has never seen such huge demand for tickets and an artist has never played five consecutive dates in Croke Park before Mr. Brooks record breaking stint this July.
Garth will now play to a sold-out Croke Park on July 25, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th.
