TD call for Referendum delay

South Tipperary Independent TD  Mattie McGrath has called for the fiscal treaty referendum to be delayed to see what changes might be made once a new French National Assembly is elected

Deputy McGrath believes that as the German Democratic Party also wants to delay its ratification of the treaty, the people of Ireland should be given more time to make their decision given the developments that may happen abroad, such as that which may result from the French President’s demand for growth-boosting measures to be included in the pact.
