A member of the board of the Tipperary Excel Centre has said that they are doing all they can to ensure the centre remains open into the future The centre has recently called in the assistance of the County Council to find a way of cutting costs and securing the future of the facility which is currently experiencing financial difficulties
While the Excel receives some arts funding, much of its operation is dependent on its own revenue and fundraising.
Speaking to Tipperary Mid West Radio today the Board’s Andy Lacey said that to help resolve the current difficulties being experienced, they have asked the council to work alongside them in finding ways to secure the future of the arts and entertainment centre
