Schools in four towns in County Tipperary have been included in a list of areas where schools could be divested from the church.
The list was compiled by the advisory group to the Forum of Patronage and Pluralism in Primary School.
Among its recommendations is that around 50 schools be divested from the church and that faith formation be taught outside school hours.
In County Tipperary, Carrick -On-Suir, Tipperary town, Clonmel and Thurles are all areas that may see changes to the current religion based criteria
