The Department of Rural and Community Development has confirmed that the results for the 2021 Tidy Towns Competition will be announced on Friday, 12th November.
The results book and reports will be available on the Tidy Towns website after the event and Tidy Towns groups will receive their report and a results book by post the following week.
The competition was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic and for 2021 a new format involving remote adjudication was implemented.
The Department also introduced two new awards for this year’s competition – one to recognise the work of volunteers in looking after their communities and a new youth award in addition to a special allocation to €1,000 to each Tidy Towns group.
Glaslough in County Monaghan were the most recent winners of the competition in 2019.
This year marks 30 years of SuperValu’s sponsorship and support for the national Tidy Towns competition.
