Thurles MD Council is paying tribute to Cllr Seamus Hanafin and Cllr Noel Coonan who attended their last Thurles Municipal District meeting on Monday 20th May.
Thurles MD extends thanks to both Elected Members for their representation of Thurles District and its people and wishes both Cllrs a successful retirement from Tipperary County Council.
Cllr Hanafin, a Fianna Fáil Councillor was first elected 2003 and previously served as Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council in 2015.
Cllr Coonan is a Fine Gael Councillor and previously served as TD between 2007 and 2016 and served as Senator between 2002 and 2007. Cllr Coonan, who was first elected as a councillor in 1991 is the outgoing Chair of the Tipperary Joint Policing Committee.
