Investigations Begin After A White Substance Was Found In The River Arra

River Arra on Sunday May 5th  – Tipperary town

Investigations have begun after reports of a “white” substance into the River Arra over the weekend. Inland Fisheries are reported to have visited Tipperary town on Sunday May 5th to take samples after a concerned resident alerted them to a white coloured substance in the river in the town centre. There was no visible evidence of pollution yesterday.

It is understood that a report has also been made to the Environmental Protection Agency and the Environmental Section of Tipperary county council by concerned citizens. Tipp Mid West Radio has sought a response from Tipperary County Council and Inland Fisheries.
