Allocation Of €5.85M To Be Distributed In Tipperary As Part Of The Leader Programme

An allocation of €5.85M is to be distributed in county Tipperary as part of the Leader Programme between 2024 and 2027. The new programme will be formally launched on Monday April 21st in Cabragh Wetlands visitor centre near Thurles. Those interested in attending the event or the online 1pm information session on April 29th are asked to register via the link on the websites of South Tipperary or North Tipperary Development Companies or via this link here.

The event will begin at 7pm and will feature presentations from Sara Bourke and Patrick Killeen from South and North Tipperary Development Companies respectively. A panel discussion featuring Mary Fogarty Loughmore Café, Emer Leahy(formerly Knockanrawley Resource Centre) and Sean O’Meara Tourism sector will be preceded by a key note address from Jack Kennedy, Editor of the Irish Farmers Journal about rural development and how Leader can enable this  such development.

Application forms for funding support will be available from Tuesday April 22nd and an online information session will be provided at 1pm on April 29th to assist individuals or groups making applications. This session will be recorded and made available on the North and South Tipperary Development Company’s Websites. The funding will be allocated over the 3 years of the programme with €2.5M towards enterprise and employment projects,   €1.67M towards social inclusion projects and  €1.6M for Environment, and Climate Action or Mitigation  projects.
