Success For Tipperary Town Special Olympics Club At The All Ireland Floorball Games

Tipperary town Special Olympics club had a very successful weekend in Armagh at the All Ireland Floorball Games.  12 athletes from the Tipperary Club participate on a number of  Munster teams.  

Gold medal winners include Gerard Heffernan, Karina Houlihan, Richard Kerr, Frank O Dwyer and Conor Murray 

William Naughton secured a Silver medal and 6 Bronze medals were secured by the performances of Shauna Bloom, Danielle Mooney, Olivia Morrissey, Josephine Ray,  Eimear Ryan and Edel Pollard.

The athletes will continue training as selection to represent Ireland in the world games will take place later in 2024 with the games to be held in Turin Italy in March 2025. The club is most appreciative of the contributions of the local coaches  Mike Ryan, Eddie Kennedy and Lily Cater who trained this athletes every Tuesday for the last 6 months. The club are also grateful for support from the Ballyboys Ballysloe tractor run, Tipperary Co-op, Tipperary  Credit Union and East Cork Oil and for all who assisted with transport for the trip to Armagh over the weekend.
