Tipperary county council is offering four fully serviced sites for residences in Boherlahan village.

The sites come with a price tag of €25,000 and the initiative is part of the Housing for All policy that allows councils to make serviced sites available for sale to eligible purchasers.

The village of Boherlahan is situated in the south of county Tipperary approximately 6km to the north of Cashel.

The initiative intends to support self-build homes in rural areas for the affordable homes market.

This is the first serviced site sale by Tipperary County Council, Director of Housing Sinead Carr says the Council hopes to roll out more sites across the county.

The purpose of this scheme is to give options to families and individuals to construct an affordable home in their local area and in doing so enable them to support the local community.

Details of available sites are posted on the council website at this link here.

The Boherlahan scheme is open for applications from Monday 25 March to Friday 12 April. Between April 15th and May 3rd the council will assess and rank the applications.

The Council hopes to issue offers to applicants between May 7th and May 10th.

Applicants interested in being considered for all 4 sites must submit a completed application form for each site.

Each site will have access to the public road, an electricity connection, a water connection and a boundary wall/fence provided by the Council.
