Organisers of the St Patrick’s Day events in Cashel are planning to focus the event on the Plaza area this year providing a static event instead of the traditional parade format.
The theme for this year is Our Eco Future. Cllr Declan Burgess is secretary of the organising committee and says this year’s event will be on the Plaza in keeping with the Council’s drive to reduce the carbon footprint of festivals and events in 2024.
Community groups are invited to perform for a 10 minute slot during the event which is due to commence at 1pm on Sunday March 17th. The organisers are also seeking bands and singers for the Plaza stage.
Further details will be released in the coming days as all arrangements are finalised.
