National Broadband Ireland, delivering high-speed Fibre-to-the-Home network under the National Broadband Plan on behalf of the Government says over 1,000 premises in its Mullinahone deployment area can now pre-order a high-speed fibre broadband connection.
The area covers the rural surrounds of Mullinahone and includes areas such as Ballingarry and Cloneen.
30,000 premises in County Tipperary are included in the State’s Intervention Area, which will see NBI deliver minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second to homes, businesses, farms, and schools based on a government investment of €118M under the National Broadband Plan.
Works have already been completed in other parts of Tipperary with 13,864 premises that are available to pre-order or order high-speed, reliable broadband across the county with 3,581 connections made to NBI’s network so far.
People can visit nbi.ie/map/ and enter their Eircode to see if they are ready to connect. This includes almost 2,300 premises in Cashel, over 1,600 in Clonmel and almost 2,900 in Nenagh. Network build works are also underway for more than 3,000 premises in Cahir.
